We supports cloud backup to FTP servers. It supports both normal and SSL-encrypted servers. It supports both implicit and explicit encryption.
When you are going to configure FTP cloud storage, first of all, click on “General Settings – FTP Settings” and then following window screen will appear.
When you will enable FTP Settings, further settings will appear as follows:
Protocol : In this field, you would need to choose a Protocol according to your server. You would need to choose FTP, FTPS or SFTP over SSH.
Host : In this field, you would need to provide a valid FTP host.
Login Type : In this field, you would need to choose login type. It can be login with both Username & Password, Username only, Anonymous or you can choose No Login that means no login credentials required.
FTP Mode : In this field, you would need to choose mode of FTP.
- In active mode, after a client initiates a session via a command channel request, the server initiates a data connection back to the client and begins transferring data.
- In passive mode, the server instead uses command channel to send information to the client which is needed to open a data channel. Passive mode has the client initiating all connections.
Port : In this field, you would need to provide Port Number related to your Protocol you are going to use.
Remote Path : In this field, you would need to provide Remote Path, where you would like to store your backup on server.
When you will create a backup, it will automatically saves in the folder at you server side as mentioned in FTP settings in Backup Bank plugin.
Once everything is being setup, you would need to click on the “Save Changes” button located at the bottom of the page to save the changes.
